You will notice that most of the prices in the web site are in round dollars $25 not $24.95.
This is our policy in most cases now – the exceptions being where we have product from a group catalogue or pre priced by the supplier.
Why is this you might ask, when all the major retailers use the $0.99 or $0.95 trick.
Well we used to do it, and our customers said to us – ”do you think we are stupid” we can tell that something is $30 when it is priced at $29.95. We agreed with them – our customers aren’t stupid, so we don’t insult you with pricing tricks.
There is one exception – we never price anything for$13 – always $12.95 – just a little superstition. Please indulge us this one slip up!
A customer moved to town from New Zealand asked us to track these great products down.
Are you travelling in the coming holidays? Worried about how to keep them busy on a long trip? This is a search and find bag. Beautifully presented in a coudory backed bag – they need to find things inside the plastic window. There is a list attched on the back with pictures and words.
Comes in three styles – Sugar and Spice (for girls), Rough and Tough (for boys) and A – Z (generic)
There are a number of products of older children but nothing like this for the little ones – recommended for ages 2 – 5 years.
Are your older children getting harder and harder to buy for?
Do they get clothes, phone top ups, electronic games?
Don’t forget to fill the stocking with a couple of inexpensive things that are purely just for fun. Something to get them on the move and laughing with the family and friends.
Have a look in the Novelty Section of the Web Site, or try the Under $20 group.

I had to put this one in – it was just too much fun. Bubbles without all of those annoying refills and blowing
This super-charged bubble blaster fires out a constant, strong stream of bubbles. Even more amazing is the awesome multi-coloured light show produced by the flashing LED’s all over the bubble gun, as well as one solid light beam that shoots out and transforms the bubbles into all the colours of the rainbow! Great fun day and night!
Recommended for ages 4 years +

The movie of Where the Wild Things Are is due for release in Australia on 4th December 2009.
This is based on the classic Childrens Book by Maurice Sendak – about the wild adventures that occur from the Max’s bedroom.
The book and the movie appeal to children and adults alike. Why not read the story before you see the movie. It will be the big Christmas movie for children this years.

We have been opening on Sundays since May this year and have found that the customers that come in are very appreciative of the time that they can spend quietly browsing. There is alot of of stock in the Toy Shop at the moment and it sometimes takes some time to find the right thing.
Of course there is always knowledge staff on duty that can help you with age appropriate gifts. Let us know of the child’s interests, if they have to share with siblings, if you have to post the gift and if you have a budget. There is always something great that we can recommend.
See you on Sunday!!!
Each year we try an decorate our window to bring some festive cheer to the busy shopping season. It is very difficult, with all that colour from the toy stock that appears in the front window. This year we have a Red Theme with sparkles and shine.
Albury Central has a Christmas Window competition each year that goes a long way to enhancing the festivities of the season. When you come to town shopping don’t forget to have a look at the windows put up by all of the Albury Central traders.
Merry Christmas to all!
